AWH Luminaria by Lumiere is a gorgeous representative of her outstanding bloodlines! She is a compact, well-proportioned female with at least a TON of fleece!
Her sire is Lumiere of PVA, a Torbio son our of Admiral's First Light, full sister to Admiral's Commander. Whew! What a pedigree! Although Lumiere was a little long in the back, he did not pass that on to his daughter. She is as square as SpongeBob! Her fleece is dense and consistent with a high degree of luster. She was born during Covid so we didn't get a change to show her, but I believe she would have held up very well.
Her dam is OTN Peruvian Talisa, a beautiful white daughter of Maccoyo Maximum who did very well for us. Of course, it's hard to do better than Max for any reason, but maybe his most important trait that he's passed consistently has been to bring primary and secondary fibers into very close alignment, creating a high degree of uniformity in his offsprings' fleeces.
Luminaria is bred to the incomparable Spectacular Bid son that we co-own with Rogue Alpacas, RGSA Vindication. Vindication is every suri breeder's idea of the perfect male. He is blocky in his conformation and carries a heavy, lustrous and well-aligned fleece. It's hard to imagine any male better suited to Luminaria.
Let me take just a minute to give a pitch for white suri fleece. Because of its high luster and silky fineness, I believe white suri is the basis for improving and pumping up any suri breeding program. Because Suris represent such a small % of the national herd, white has a unique place in expanding the reach of suri in a practical, someday commercial industry. Don't get me wrong--- I love the other natural colors! Suri luster makes them all stand out in a way that is breath-taking. But I also believe that white suri is the standard by which all suri is measured. Come take a look!
