FIBER AND FUN ALPACA CAMP!
We started out imagining a 4-H Camp this summer and got so many requests for others to join us that we are making it open to everyone!
$200 is the total fee for 4 Wednesdays in July. July 10, 17, 24, and 31.
We will learn about FIBER PROCESSING in the mornings, enjoy a sack lunch, then experience alpaca handling and agility in the afternoons. Along the way we'll learn some husbandry skills and have a whole lot of fun!
Open to 4th grade and up, parents and grandparents too!
9 am to 3 pm.
Bring your own lunch and snacks.
All materials are included. Bring your own fleece if you have one, or we will provide one.
In the 4 sessions we will take an alpaca fleece from scratch to a finished product. We have several teachers who will join us along the way to learn skirting, washing, picking, carding, felting, spinning and knitting. You will be amazed what you can do.
We will learn some basic care essentials such as toenail trimming, haltering and leading.
We will also learn more skills in showmanship and agility handling on an obstacle course.
