HCLA Resi

HCLA Roxy's Quicksilver is one of our most surprising females, and I mean that in a good way. She admittedly isn't much to look at these days, but Gail Campbell tells us that when she was born her luster was so amazing that they named her Quicksilver, after the brilliant shine of mercury. Her daughter Resi, who we bought at the same time, was brilliantly lustrous also, and they both continue to produce luster at a huge rate. Quicksilver is one of those dependable females that you need in your herd. She breeds and births easily, feeds her babies extremely well, and is a pleasure to handle. Her daughters and granddaughters have shown well for us also. She is a wonderful member of our herd, and now it's time to let someone else benefit from her wonderful traits. Quicksilver is bred to AWH MacGyver's Vortex. You can see his fleece on this page. He has the most amazing fleece I think we've seen. It has the slight wave at the top of each independent, greasy lock, that becomes a twist a few millimeters down the staple. Gail Campbell now has research to show that this lock style often has the highest luster and most consistent AFD of any of the suri locks. We are very excited to see what Vortex produces.
