To groom or not to groom, there is no question about it. Grooming your alpaca for the show ring is wrong on many points. Besides being against AOBA rules, it hurts the industry. For now, the show ring is the best way for determining how our breeding programs are working. If individual's groom their alpacas, it defeats the purpose of knowing whether the animal that wins the championships have won on their own merit or because they were boosted by other products. Grooming is to alpacas as steroid use is to athletes. I support Naturally Suri.
