I was blessed to have skilled grandmothers and a great-grandmother in my life who fostered my keen desire to learn about creating things by hand.  I especially liked knitting and crocheting because I love sheep!  Being a young learner I was undaunted about what I could do and never gave up on the challenges in yarn.

I didn't know about alpacas until I was older when I fell in love with their incredible yarn.  The idea of having my own fiber animals was a dream that took 24 years to be fulfilled with my small herd of huacaya alpacas.   I love to teach others to enjoy these skills and learn to appreciate what natural fiber can create.

My philosophy is that anyone can learn to knit as it's just one stitch at a time.  Whether you decide to pursue it and call it your own is up to you, but I'll be there to help along the way, through tangles, knots and dropped stitches.  In addition, I love to take my natural alpaca fiber and explore with natural dyeing colors using plants.
