The Alpaca Community at Windy Hill

Alpacas at Windy Hill is more than the home of Cindy Harris and Doug Fieg--it's a community! Several Southern California alpaca owners call Alpacas at Windy Hill "home". It's an exciting place where there is always something going on. People who board their alpacas with us know that this is their ranch. They visit their alpacas frequently and participate in their daily life. You never know just what might be happening on any given day-- a birth, ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy, treatments for various health issues, a moment of "cria races" in the nursery pasture, or maybe a breeding. Visitors are welcome to visit the ranch on a work day and see what it's like to walk an alpaca on a halter, give a shot, or trim a set of toenails. Give us a call if you'd like to participate in Vet Day, or just hang out and see what alpacas are like on a normal day.

Many of our friends have websites of their own, go to shows, and join in the fun at marketing events. It's a great way to get your feet wet while you still have that "safety net".
