Dr. Jana will walk us through birthing your first cria! Through lecture and lab time, you will go away much more confident about your birthing skills.
What does a normal birth look like? What are some of the indications that things aren't progressing normally? When should you call the Vet?
And what about the placenta? What do you do with it? What can it tell you? Why is it important?
What does a normal cria look like? What can you do to be sure it gets off to a strong start? What's too much? Too little?
This is an invaluable class for those who are planning to raise alpacas on their own property. It's a great refresher for current alpaca breeders.
