We are thrilled beyond belief to own NGG Accoyo Apache II! Apache is virtually a legend in the suri world. Some would say he is "the Best" suri herdsire in the country. Certainly he has a sterling reputation. For parents he boasts 2 of the finest suris that were ever imported into the US, both owned by Nola Graham of NGG Alpacas: Pperuvian Uribe--the first colored full Accoyo suri in the US-- and Ppperuvian Dulcinea--a dam so fine that Nola paid a premium for her. Later, Greg Mecklam of Pacific Crest bought Apache, and has taken him to his current status of fame.

Even as a mature male, Apache is big-boned and imposing in the pasture. He knows his job, and the other guys all give him his place. His fleece is still magnificent, even after so many shearings. His density and luster are immediately evident. His prepotence as a herdsire is obvious in his crias. Even prior to owning him, we can truly say that some of our best suris have been Apache offspring.

Dam: AWH Silk Purse

Sire: Gianni of PVA

gianni

Gianni of PVA personifies "magnificent" in every way. Standing tall and weighing in at 195 lb shorn, he is the Gentle Giant of the pasture. He seems completely impervious to his pasture-mates' invitations to "play", just continuing on his way as if ping pong balls were bouncing off of him.

As a son of Kobe of PVA, multiple champion and sire of champions, Gianni has held up his sire's reputation with pride. He had 4 Blue Ribbons and a Championship in the show ring, although he didn't get to go out too often due to his substantial size. Gianni's dam is NGG Guinevere, one of the many marvelous dams that came out of Nola Graham's Accoyo suris.

Gianni has retired to breeding, and has produced lots of crias, many of which will start showing this fall. His average is 2 females to 1 male--not bad!! And his crias are inheriting his fabulous lock, luster and density. Come on by and see him soon. Maybe your females need him too! Contact Cindy: cindy@alpacalink.com

AWH Silken Treasure with Torbio daughter

Price: $9,500

Description:

AWH Silken Treasure is a dense-fleeced girl who produces dependably. She is the daughter of AWH Silk Purse and Gianni of PVA. Silk Purse is a fabulous mother with lots of milk and she has passed these traits to her daughter. Silken Treasure has taken wonderful care of her cria, AWH Torbio's Sherry, and is now bred to our wonderful NGG Accoyo Apache II in hopes of making the most of all the color in her background.

Little Sherrys is a bright-faced and bright-fleeced girl with the luster and greasy handle of her illustrious Daddy, Pperuvian Torbio. She is growing strong and square, and stands to do well next season in the previously-shorn yearling classes. Her conformation is like Torbio's--large bones, correct proportions, and the famous wedge-shaped face that her daddy stamps on his offspring. Although she is carrying all the wonderful traits of white suri fiber, she is also carrying lots of color in her pedigree from her grandfather, Gianni of PVA. Torbio also lets lots of color pass, so this little girl has the potential, like her mama, of throwing white or color--pretty versatile!

These two are the perfect blend of the heavy-fleeced, solid Bolivian stock with a strong infusion of Accoyo to make the fleece everything you could hope for. We'd like to help you get off to a great start for the 2012 show and birthing season with this pair. They are also on the small side of the ideal, so will always be easy to handle. What a great pair of girls!

Silken Pleasure

2011 Torbio daughter, Silken Pleasure ~ DOB 2/4/11

Pperuvian TORBIO

TORBIO is an original in every sense of the word. He was one of the original Accoyo Suri herdsires hand-picked by Don Julio Barreda and introduced to the U.S. by Nola Graham. He is the "REAL THING"!

Torbio has tremendous presence. He is also one of the last males to survive from that importation. He and Ganador are the only 2 Older Gentlemen still breeding.

He is best known for his ability to pass his outstanding traits to his progeny. Even today, Torbio's fleece has blinding luster and that greasy feel that we all strive for.

In 2006, Our Peruvian Accoyo Rockstar won Suri Herdsire of the Year, and his Pop, Torbio, took Reserve Suri Herdsire of the Year! Those are powerful genetics!
