MFI Precious Gem is an alpaca who knows her own mind. She is a wonderful mother and takes excellent care of her crias. With the proud stance she inherited from her sire, she takes charge in the pasture--heaven help the stray coyote!--but is a lamb to deal with between pregnancies.
Gem's sire is Panam's Midas Touch, a legend in black suri. Midas Touch was aptly named. He added dark color, if not black, to every female he touched. His density is legendary, as is his luster. Precious Gem is a 1/2 sister to King Kong, one of Midas Touch's finest sons.
Precious Gem is bred to AWH Argon this year, a male that matches her color and improves on it in terms of fineness and luster. You should see this boy shine! His sire is El Pacacola, champion son of El Senor Protocol, and his dam is GLR Bethenia, a proud daughter of 4 Peruvian Condor, the famous gray of Great Lakes Alpacas. Gem has produced gray before, when bred to Silver Shadow, so this pairing holds the potential for gray as well as brown. This could be the best deal you've seen all year!
