Just one more reason the judges awarded him Color Champion and 1st Place at the 2004 Monterey show and Reserve Color Champion and 1st Place at the 2004 Alpaca Western Extravaganza in Oregon. His sire is the legendary Peruvian Macgyver. A stunning full Peruvian mahogany suri herdsire of the Accoyo Bruxo line, producing champion after champion. In 2006 Macgyver won “Herdsire of the Year” at the Futurity for an unprecedented fourth straight year. While Legend’s older brother Captain Morgan (3 years older) won Reserve Herdsire of the Year again. Legend's and Captain Morgan’s dam, Swiss Miss, is the daughter of the renowned Rag Top. Swiss Miss continues to produce cria with full coverage, tight penciled locks and dark colored fleeces year after year. She was featured on the cover of Alpacas Magazine’s Spring 1999 edition. Description: SHAR Legend's Orian is an amazing young man. He has crystalline fiber that flows in individually twisted locks from skin to tip, even after being shorn. He is tall with an upright. proud stance, and an eager, inquisitive look. His temperament reflects both of his parents. Legend, full brother to Captain Morgan, has the mild personality of many of the MacGyver line, and White Fire, a Torbio grand-daughter, is one of the few females who remains calm and touchable even when she is pregnant. Orian has several awards, and because they are 2nds, we find ourselves wondering if judges felt obliged to mark him down for a 'grooming' offense. He is almost too perfect. At GWAS 2008 his fleece was to his knees, and each individual lock would swing independent of its neighbors. Since he was shorn last spring, his fiber has come back like gang-busters with almost 6 inches of staple length already in February. Orian has proven himself already, bred to our Apache female, AWH Ste. Genevieve. What a treat it will be so see the cria from that breeding! Jump aboard his Dance Card this season!
